Job Description
In this role, the Architect is expected to have subject matter expert knowledge in NetApp and IBM N Series storage solutions. The architect will serve as the resident go-to resource for storage projects.
This is a technical pre-sales position with an element of post-sales support.
A typical engagement is the architect will partner with a sales account manager to understand the customer requirements, design the solution, identify the bill of materials, vet the parts list with our vendor and distribution partners, and present the solution to our customer. Once the customer accepts the solution, the architect will partner with the implementation engineers to deliver the solution. In some cases, the architect will serve as the lead implementor and work closely with the implementation team and the customer in the data center.
The ideal candidate will do some post sales to maintain his/her expertise and continue to build his/her credibility, confidence and provide specific recommendations to solve business issues.

Business Partner Channel Experience. Ability to create solution visios, excel spreadsheets, ability to speak in front of small and large groups, ability to work independently and in teams. Ability to translate technology into business value. Ability to use vendor configuration tools.
